It doesn’t make sense to me
By Joanna White

Waiting children need a family.
Why don’t the Christians see
These are the least of these.
Oh, it’s such a tragedy.

Lord, open eyes to see
Our own responsibility.
Give us an urgency.
This IS about eternity.

We have rooms that sit empty
Or house our extra T.V.
Oh the frivolity.
That’s where a child could be.

Jesus died upon a tree
Out of love for humanity.
Who will love to that degree?
Who will be His hands and feet?

Yes we can give them money
But it won’t give them identity.
They need their own family
Who will love them dearly.

What about you and me?
Will we remain in apathy
Caught in selfish hypocricy
Or will we love sacrificially?

Waiting children need a family.
Why don’t the Christians see
These are the least of these.
Oh, it’s such a tragedy…

It doesn’t make sense to me.
No, it doesn’t make sense to me.

Jesus died upon a tree
Out of love for humanity.
Who will love to that degree?
Who will be His hands and feet?

that wicked little angel song February 11, 2012

This is a song I had a ball writing back in August. The Lord showed me how mighty HE was and how small & inferior satan was. I will not cower – the LORD is on my side!

(Please do not copy or distribute without my permission. Thank you!)

wicked little angel song

he’s an arrogant little angel who fell from the sky.
he wanted all the glory,
his heart was full of pride.

Now that wicked little angel on this earth he resides.
he’s on a mission to rule
in the very hearts of you and I!

he slinks around in darkness with his ugly little crew.
he thinks he’s gonna win
but, it’s simply not true!

*Chorus
I praise the One who made the universe.
Who sent HIs own Son to break satan’s curse.
I will not cower before the evil one.
I am God’s child and the victory is won!!

he’s a selfish little angel… never satisfied.
If you give him an inch
he’ll try and take your life!

But, with Jesus on my side satan cannot win.
Though he may tempt me,
he cannot make me sin.

For, I claim the power of the Holy One.
When I speak HIS Word
it makes the demons run!

*Chorus
I praise the One who made the universe.
Who sent HIs own Son to break satan’s curse.
I will not cower before the evil one.
I am God’s child and the victory is won!!

Bridge (spoken)
he’s an inferior little being still out to get the glory.
It seems he hasn’t read
the end of the story!
For Jesus shall return to this earth someday.
He’ll bind up satan – that big ol’ liar!
He’ll throw him into the Lake of Fire!

I praise the One who made the universe.
Who sent His own Son to break satan’s curse.
I will not cower before the evil one.
I am God’s child and the victory is won!!

My Gaze is Fixed Upon You

Joanna White ~ June 15, 2008

I’m the creator of the world

Yet, my gaze is fixed upon you.

I spoke the darkness into light

But it was with my hands

I chose to form you.

So, my child, do not fear

The sinful world around you.

Despite the evil of fallen man,

My love always surrounds you.

Rest in the cradle of my arms.

Feel my hand upon your shoulder.

Quietly listen to my voice

Let me gently hold you

When the trials of this life

Start to paralyze you

Just cry out my name

And I will calm and guide you.

For, I’m the creator of the world

Yet, my gaze is fixed upon you.

I spoke the darkness into light

But it was with my hands

I chose to form you.

My child, do not grow faint.

Have no qualms about you.

For in the haven of my hands

You remain securely.

Rest in the cradle of my arms.

Feel my hand upon your shoulder.

Quietly listen to my voice

Let me gently hold you.

My child, look into my face.

You’ll see no fear in my eyes.

I will take you safely home.

I am where your hope lies.

For, I’m the creator of the world

Yet, my gaze is fixed upon you.

I spoke the darkness into light

But it was with my hands

I chose to form you.
